I moved in a couple years ago. The management changed 3 times since I moved in. My first day there, I walked into my apt that apparently a heavy smoker had lived in. The management at the time fought me on removing and replacing the carpeting (which not only smelled terrible, but had burn holes from cigarette butts). I then asked to have the air filter changed which they claimed had been done prior to move in. I pulled it out of the wall (it was black) and brought it to the front desk to show them. They quickly replaced it the next day. Winter rolled around and I went to let my dog out and the street area that cars pass through in addition to the sidewalks werenât cleared at all from the snow. I slipped and fell on my tailbone. I had to get an x-ray then hobble around work the next 6 weeks (Iâm a nurse), all because no sand, salt, or shoveling had been done. I lived by the pool so I expected noise during daytime hours, but 6-7 times I notified the office that people were jumping the fence and partying around 1-2 am and they did nothing about it, just said to call security who took their sweet time arriving. My neighbor smoked so much pot it leaked into my home every day and management (the newest management) told me theyâd take care of it. As of my move out date in May, he was still smoking multiple times daily indoors. And lastly, I didnât get any of my deposit back because of a couple nail holes that I had patched and sanded (just needed a paint touch up). Iâve never not gotten a deposit back - Iâm very clean and live alone. It overall was my worse renting experience in Utah, and for $2,000 a month, I really expected a lot more.

Unlike the greeting message you receive when you call them (providing no one answers and you have to leave a message), don't be fooled - this location does not offer "luxury apartments"; it's just apartments that are structures in such a way that you can hear your neighbors - no privacy. Lease contract full of "money grabs", especially if you have a pet - $700 pet deposit of which $400 is non-refundable. When I asked Jessica how the $400 is used, here is her verbatim response, "The $400 fee charged at move in is for the maintenance and liability for having a pet on property. The actual expense for this is much higher than the $400". So you know, the $400 is not put towards their so-called pet enzyme cleaning when you move out. Here is the kicker, I had renters insurance that had pet liability added and it cost me less than $5/month. The $400 is truly a money grab and there is more that you need to be aware of. Best to stay away from this location.

I agree with all of those who gave low ratings for this property. Don't be fooled - this location does not offer "luxury apartments"; it's just apartments...

We lived at Draper Village Apartments for over 18 months, and our experience was far from satisfactory. A significant problem was the poor maintenance of the facilities and grounds. The common areas were not properly taken care of, and it seemed like the management was neglecting their responsibilities in maintaining the premises. For example, the grass across the property was always damaged or was in a swamp like state. Additionally, the promised monthly community functions were nonexistent during our time there, despite being advertised as part of the living experience. In addition, we must express our disappointment with the labeling of Draper Village Apartments as "luxury" apartments. Throughout our stay, it became increasingly evident that the property did not live up to the expectations associated with such a designation. Luxury apartments typically imply a higher standard of living, superior amenities, exceptional customer service, and attention to detail. The high turnover rate of staff was concerning, as there were many different managers during our stay. The current manager's absence from the office was a recurring issue, making it challenging to address any problems in person or over the phone. Moreover, we experienced a frustrating situation when our move-in paperwork was "lost" or misplaced, which caused unnecessary stress upon move out. Furthermore, there were instances of unfair treatment regarding car towing. Despite having valid plates, our car was towed, while other vehicles that were causing damage to the asphalt by leaking oil and fluids were not addressed. The front office also claimed that they do not know when vehicles are towed off their property. This inconsistency in enforcing rules and policies while not knowing what is happening on the property felt unjust. We reported various safety concerns, noise disturbances, hostility among tenants, animal neglect, and instances of property destruction, but disappointingly, no action was taken in response to our multiple reports. This lack of accountability and follow-through from management was disheartening and made me feel like our concerns were not valued or taken seriously while not feeling safe in our own residence. One of the most frustrating experiences was being charged outrageous cleaning fees for normal "wear and tear" damage upon moving out. We have had over 13 years of rental history and not one of our previous apartment complexes has charged us this astronomical amount. These detailed fees were not mentioned in the leasing agreement, and when We tried to discuss them with the office manager, they were evasive and unresponsive. Instead of engaging in a constructive conversation, the manager simply sent pictures of the alleged damages, making it impossible to resolve the issue or understand the charges. The issues we encountered, such as the lack of communication, poor maintenance, unresponsive management, and failure to address tenant concerns, are far from the level of professionalism and care that we have come to expect from well-managed properties in the industry. We decided to reach out to the regional manager, Mr. Bradley. We must commend Mr. Bradley for his approach and willingness to listen attentively to the concerns we had raised about the high move out cleaning fees. He displayed kindness and understanding during our conversation, which was a refreshing change from the previous experiences we had with the on-site staff. Mr. Bradley actively tried to find a resolution to our grievances, and we genuinely appreciated his efforts in addressing the issues we had encountered. We did get to some sort of resolution, however it wasn't the amount we were hoping for. It is essential for tenants to feel valued, heard, and well taken care of, and regrettably, our time at Draper Village did not reflect these principles in any way. We hope that our feedback serves as valuable insight for others considering this property and that it motivates the management to improve their practices for the benefit of future residents.

***Update- I reached out to the Regional Manager Mr. Bradley. He was extremely courteous and polite. He assured me that their front office had not lived up to the standard they would expect from their team and promised to use this experience as a teaching opportunity for the staff. I truly hope this will make a difference because the community as a whole has been a joy to live in. We were served a second eviction notice over utilities- honestly save yourself the headache and find someplace else to live. They don't care about basic communication skills in their staff. We have lived at Draper Village Apartments for years. We lost our pool pass and needed a replacement. The front office was willing to give me a new pass yesterday, but couldn't not figure out how to activate the pass. Which seems unprofessional in and of itself. They asked me to come back in the morning to pick up the pass. I went in this morning and the Office Manager raised her voice to me and refused to give me a pool pass "until our utilities are sorted out". Like I mentioned we have lived here for years and no one from the office has ever mentioned to us the need to change the way we have paid our utilities before now. The new manager threatened to evict us if we do not "change the utility accounts into our names". Again, we have lived here for years and nobody ever mentioned anything before this month. She has been extremely hostile and aggressive. I was under the impression that the issue was resolved when I went into her office today. She yelled at me from across her desk that it had not been resolved and threatened our access to community features if we did not resolve the issue. We had previously been paying our utility accounts through the rental portal, and felt blindsided that we needed to set them up in our names. We would have done so at the time we moved in had it been mentioned at that point, or any point after in the 4 years we have lived here. I really did not appreciate having someone raise their voice to me over a simple miscommunication, that has been a non-issue for the past 4 years.

I have lived here almost a year and have no complaints, the property always looks beautiful and the office staff is amazing, the apartments are beautiful and spacious, I love that we have an attached garage!
